Working with children is like caring for a tree. The straight and healthy tree is the one that has been nurtured, pruned and shaped as a sapling.
The misshapen, bent tree that has grown out of shape through suffering some damage and not being helped to work through it at the time it occurs, becomes set in its crooked growth.
I have found that damaged adults, like twisted trees that are fully grown, become stiff and find it increasingly difficult to straighten out.
In my child focused and friendly play therapy room I offer a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore their emotional pain or confusion and to make meaning out of what is happening in their lives.
